CRAFT BIKE TRANSALP CAMP
Booking a starter package in combination with accommodation in the Transalp-Camp is not only the least expensive way to participate in the CRAFT BIKE TRANSALP powered by NISSAN but also hassle-free in terms of not having to arrange accommodations and shuttles on one’s own. The Transalp-Camp package includes 8 nights in gym hall-style accommodations that have to be booked and paid in advance.
Services included:
- 8 (or 9) x accommodations in mass quarters (gym halls, schools, etc.) for up to 300 racers / 150 teams
- 9 x breakfast
- 8 x baggage shuttles from the start to the finish of each stage
Price: € 140.- (incl. applicable taxes) per person (the extra accommodations in Füssen is available on friday and costs 17,50 € a night).
The fee has to be payed cash at the start. By cancelation of the Transalp Camp 14 days before the CRAFT BIKE TRANSALP powered by NISSAN starts, you have to pay 50% of the camp fee!
Participants need to provide for their own sleeping (insulting) pads and sleeping bags. Please note that mass quarters may not provide an adequate accommodation option for anyone feeling cramped easily, in need of privacy or with a sensitivity to noises and smells. Adequate sanitary facilities (i.e. toilets and showers) are typically available but it can not be guarantee that sufficient quantities of hot water can be made available at all times.
CRAFT BIKE TRANSALP HOTEL
Contestants who opt to arrange for their own accommodations on each stage usually travel without caravan but want to enjoy the amenities of hotel or B&B-style rooms. Reservations for these accommodations are typically made well in advance but in communities with a stage finish tourist information offices will try to help out with bookings on site. However, the availability of rooms at such short notice cannot be guaranteed. The race organizers will provide racers with a confirmed registration with the addresses of tourist information offices in each of the communities that host a stage start / finish.
CRAFT BIKE TRANSALP CARAVAN
Caravans or mobile homes provide a third accommodation option during the race event. Caravan rentals and / or shuttles have to be organized by race participants and require a high degree of self-sufficiency in terms of (i) finding a friend or family member to shuttle the vehicle between stage communities, (ii) making rental arrangements for a caravan, (iii) locating suitable campgrounds and associated facilities. Most stage communities provide some camping / parking space for a nominal charge.
There will be a certain tax for the whole week, 100,-€ per caravan.
Return Shuttle Service
Return shuttle by bus from the start to the finish can be booked for € 50.- (incl. applicable taxes) per person.
Return transportation can be arranged for race participants, their luggage and bikes but only at the time of registration. Sign up for the shuttle bus service on the registration form. Your request for a return shuttle is binding and the applicable fee will be charged ahead of time by direct debit from your account. Shuttle busses will leave on Sunday, the day after the concluding stage. Bikes will be carried on separate trucks to the start, where they need to be picked up by their respective owners.
